Ink, XP, and respec

Unlocking a tier costs XP and one matching rarity ink.

Hold a matching school focus for a 25% XP discount (ink cost stays the same).

Respec refunds a configurable share of spent XP. Only unlocked tiers of a spell can be cast — discovering a spell is not the same as paying for the next rank.

Ink slots sit under the Codex panel. If + does nothing, you are missing the rarity that matches the next tier, or you cannot afford the XP.
