Getting started

Install NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1, then drop Spell Actionbar in your mods folder with Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks and Iron’s Lib.

  1. Open a world and press the Spell Actionbar key (default `) to open the equip screen.
  2. Place Iron’s scrolls into free actionbar slots.
  3. Cast with Iron’s quick-cast keybinds — the HUD shows the bound key on each slot.
  4. Scrolls are not consumed when casting from the bar.

If you also run Spell Codex, that addon takes over discovery and unlocks. You will equip Codex spells onto this same bar instead of loose scrolls. Codex needs Actionbar 1.1.4 or newer.
